Abudalla Alhassan, 23, also tried to redeem reward points off the account to buy nine $100 Best Buy gift cards, the prosecutor said.

Grewal said members of his Financial Crimes Unit identified and tracked down Alhassan, charging him with theft and credit card fraud.

A first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack was set for Feb. 15. Alhassan remained free without bail until then.
