Zdzislaw P. Marczyk, 80, Garfield Resident

GARFIELD, N.J. – Zdzislaw P. Marczyk, of Garfield, died Saturday, June 11. He was 80.

He was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Konopki, Poland, to Aleksander and Anna (Modzelewska) Marczyk. He came to the United States in 1989, first living in Passaic, and then Garfield for the past 25 years. He worked at Felician College in the maintenance department for more than 10 years. He retired in 2006. He also was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Passaic.

He is survived by his wife, Marianna; children, Krystyna Sasinowska, Zofia Olszewska, Celina Jannicelli and Bozena Lubnicka; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by his son, Kazimierz.

Visiting will take place from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. Burial will take place in his native Poland in the cemetery at Puchaly.
