LODI, N.J. -- Peter Rizzi of Lodi, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Friday, Jan. 1. He was 92.
He was predeceased by his wife, Viola.
Prior to retiring, he owned and operated East Paterson Construction Company for over 50 years. He was a member of the Elmwood Park/Paterson Elks Lodge 60. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed watching the Yankees.
He is survived by his children, Peter and his wife, Bonnie, of Toms River, James and his wife, Dawn, of Lodi and John and his wife, Carol, of Millington; his grandchildren, Fara Daniels, Jaclyn Rizzi, Lauren Cornelius and her husband, Dale, Janine Rizzi, Jenna Rizzi and J.C. Rizzi; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Daniels and Lola Cornelius. He was also the brother of the late Moe, Dominic, Joseph and Nick Rizzi.
Visitation will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., Hackensack, on Monday, Jan. 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus.
