LODI, N.J. -- James M. DeSimone, 94, a lifelong resident of Lodi passed away Friday, April 8, 2016.
He was born in Lodi to the late Joseph and Margaret DeSimone.
Before retiring, DeSimone worked for the Bergen County Utilities Authority in Little Ferry. Previously, he was co-owner and contractor for Ferrara and DeSimone Construction Company in Lodi.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church and a member of St. Michael's Knights of Columbus Council 2861 both in Lodi. He also was a member of the Lodi Old Timers Club and the Lodi Senior Citizens Club.
He was the husband of Mary (nee Paci) DeSimone; father of James M. DeSimone, Jr. and his wife Milena of Lodi, Joseph DeSimone and his wife Denise of Elmwood Park, Robert DeSimone and his wife Edith of Clay, N.Y. and Michelle DeSimone of Maywood; brother of the late John DeSimone; grandfather of James and his wife Madeline, Gina and her husband Cory, John, Wendy and her husband Steve, Joseph and his wife Kerri, Robert and his wife Christina and Milena and her husband Daniel; great-grandfather of Ashalee and her husband Dave, Anthony, Morgan, Brandie, Marisa, Tyler, Julianna, Gianna, Gabrielle, Robert, Ethan, Olivia, Haley, Dara and Abigail; and great-great-grandfather of Zachary, Aiden, Joseph and the late Maddox.
There will be a funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lodi. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum in Saddle Brook.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
