Frances Sciarrillo, 93, Garfield Resident

GARFIELD, N.Y. -- Garfield resident Frances (Raia) Sciarrillo died on Sunday, Feb. 14. She was 93.

Before retiring, Sciarillo was a secretary for Forstmenn Mills, in Garfield. She was a treasurer and committee member, who helped build Garfield Boys' and Girls' Club.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter Jane Di Gioia of Garfield; grandchildren Michael Sciarrillo and Ericka Montagino and her husband Chuck; and great-grandchildren Michaela and Joseph.

Sciarillo was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Frances, and her sisters Eleanor Lo Castro and May Badami.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., in Lodi. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home, then to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Garfield, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
