GARFIELD, N.J. — Diann Witt, of North Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was 61.
She was born June 20, 1955, to John and Margaret (Peg) Ross, who preceded her in death, along with her brother, John Ross Jr.
She is survived by her husband Peter J. Witt; daughter Emily Ann Witt; and her dogs, Bailey and Dallas.
She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School in Milltown, and graduated from Saint Peter's High School in New Brunswick in 1973. She earned an Associates in Science degree from Middlesex County College and pursued a career in business with Church and Dwight. For the past 17 years, Witt was employed by the North Brunswick Board of Education at Judd Elementary School as a special education teaching assistant.
Witt was an avid reader and she never missed her nightly "Jeopardy" TV show. She loved making Irish soda bread and fudge, which she shared with her friends at her annual Christmas parties.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to her Go Fund Me page to help with expenses.
The Witt family is in the care of the Attentive Cremation Service, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield.
