LODI, N.J. -- Carmella (Tarantino) Martelli -- a Lodi resident, formerly of Paterson -- died on Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 94.

Before retiring, Martelli was a cafeteria worker for Paterson Public School No. 15. She was a member of Lodi Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Dino A. Martelli; children Jean Canta of Lodi and companion Vincent Pecoraro, Gary Martelli and wife Joyce of Great Meadows, and Dino Martelli of Edgewater; grandchildren Chrisitne Youtz, Jaime Zabriski, Todd Martelli and Daria Chinni; and great-grandchildren Kaileigh, Will, Jackson, Lincoln, Rylee and Parker.

Martelli was the cherished sister of Anthony Tarantino, the late Louise Glover, Theresa Chermak, Mary Popovich, Sabino and Theodore Tarantino.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Maria, and son-in-law Sal Canta.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., in Lodi. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home, then to St. Francis de Sales Church for a 9:30 a.m. funeral mass. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
