LODI, N.J. – The Lodi Junior Police Academy recently graduated its 2015 class. Students learned first aid, how to call for help and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of choking and various illnesses.
The Lodi Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Squad participated with education as the platoons were broken down into several groups. The youth observed demonstrations, as well as participated in, basic CPR skills, blood pressure and splinting.
Students also got to see first hand the ambulance and equipment the volunteers use every day to save lives, respond to accident scenes, and treat the injured.
Parents were encouraged to keep the lessons going, make a first aid kit and be ready for an emergency at home.
