Garfield Students Wear Superhero T-Shirts, Raise Money For Autism

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Last week the Manga Anime Comic Club and Helping Hands Club did a fundraiser at Garfield High School to benefit an autism walk -- using superhero t-shirts.

Garfield high-schoolers recently wore superhero t-shirts to school -- both for the freedom of it and to raise money for autism.

April 28 was National Superhero Day Students, and students paid $2 to wear a superhero shirt to school, instead of their purple polo.

The fundraiser raised $280, and the proceeds were donated to a teacher's Autism Walk team. That teacher's son has autism.
