Garfield High School Announces 2016 Athletic Hall Of Fame

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Garfield High School Athletic Department announced its 2016 Hall of Fame class.

The inductees include: Jeff Alfonso (class of 2000), Alan Tani Jr. (class of 1995), Mark Pieklo (class of 1988), Chris Saccomando (class of 1982), Bob DeBonis (class of 1970), Bob Castano (class of 1966), Al Fritsch (class of 1966), and Nick Brancaccio (class of 1965).

Sal Scaglione will receive the Service Award and the 1973 and 1975 soccer teams will win the Team Award for being sectional champions.

This year marked the 35th induction class of the hall of fame. An induction dinner will be held May 13 at the Royal Manor in Garfield.

Tickets are $60.
