Election Prep: Authors To Discuss Citizenship In Lodi

LODI, N.J. -- A little more than a week before the election, a pair of Felician University professors and authors are slated to give an open lecture on citizenship.

Professors Carl Lane and Robert McParland will lead the discussion, and talk about citizenship through the lenses of their respective publications.

Lane, a history professor, will discuss his most recent book, "Understanding the National Debt: What Every American Needs to Know.:

McParland, associate dean of social and behavioral sciences and an English professor, will discuss his book, "Citizen Steinbeck: Giving Voice to the People."

The presentation – a joint project between Felician’s School of Arts and Science and the Felician Institute for Ethics and Public Affairs – will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31. It will take place at Obal Hall, Harmony Hall, on Felician’s Lodi campus, 262 Main St.
