A short time later, investigators from the Bergen County Prosecutor's office arrested two Jersey City men.

Xavier Epps, 22, and Tymell J. White 21, were being held on $500,000 bal each in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault, armed robbery, armed burglary and weapons offenses.

Garfield police responded to the Harrison Avenue home after getting a 911 call at 12:38 a.m. Oct. 24, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Two women and a man said three or four intruders with handguns forced them to the floor.

Each intruder sexually assaulted one of the women, Molinelli said.

Then they took off in a car, he said.

Molinelli said his investigators, teaming up with Garfield police, quickly developed information on the getaway car. Then they found Epps, the owner, the prosecutor said.

He led them to White, who was arrested, as well.

A third suspect remained at large.

Both defendants were scheduled for Oct. 28 arraignments in Municipal Court.
