Along with police Cpl. Steve Riedel and Officer Mike Ferrarini, township firefighters used a bucket ladder to get to the man and bring him down safely on Saturday.

The Hillsdale Volunteer Ambulance Service took the victim to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with a cut on his head and possible broken rib.

Police didn't say what he was doing up there in the first place.
