TEANECK, N.J. -- ( UPDATE ) A Teaneck woman was arrested minutes after she robbed a local bank on Thursday, police said.

Clinique Sinclair, 32, remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Friday charges of robbery through a threat of harm.

Sinclair -- who stands 4-foot-11-inches and weighs 115 pounds -- was arrested five blocks from the Bank of America branch on Palisade Avenue moments after it was robbed at 10:35 a.m. Thursday, police told Daily Voice.

Officers responding to a bank alarm had a description  of the woman who'd "passed a note to one of the tellers, threatening bodily harm if the teller did not provide cash," Police Chief Glen O'Reilly said.

"No weapons were threatened or displayed" by the robber, who fled south on Palisade Avenue, he said.

Officer Percy found Sinclair near the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Johnson Avenue and took her into custody, O'Reilly said.

Colleagues who reviewed bank surveillance video confirmed that she was the robber, the chief said.

A witness from the bank also identified her, he added.

The proceeds were recovered, O'Reilly said.

It wasn't immediately known whether Sinclair was considered a suspect in a Sept. 28 bank robbery in Garfield, in which somewhere between $2,000 and $3,000 was taken by two women.

Both women in that holdup were described as short.
