The woman told police she was headed home when a woman grabbed her from behind and a man "held some sort of weapon against her body" in the area of Van Houten Avenue and Wonham Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The robbers took jewelry and cash from her before fleeing, Lt. Robert Bracken said.

The night before, a 23-year-old Passaic victim had cash taken after being punched in the face by a robber around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Lexington and Highland avenues, Bracken said.

The robber fled in a vehicle toward Passaic, he said.

"These incidents are not related," Bracken emphasized.
