GARFIELD, N.J. -- A judge on Tuesday set $300,000 bail for a Paterson electrician accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old Garfield girl.
Adolfo Hermandez, 35, was charged by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit with "committing illegal sexual acts on a juvenile female acquaintance" following interviews and investigation, Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal said Tuesday afternoon.
The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) notified Grewal's investigators, who, in turn, contaced Garfield police, the prosecutor said.
Detectives charged him with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.
An arraignment was set for March 9.
