Passaic Sheriff's Detectives Find 2 Wanted In Garfield Home Invasion

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Two men wanted in a Christmas home invasioin in Garfield were arrested by detectives from the Passaic County sheriff's Warrant Squad this week.

Detectives who knew both Paterson men from previous incidents grabbed Jesse “Hard Luck” Batchellor, 32, Wednesday night near the White Castle on Broadway, Sheriff Richard H. Berdnick said.

The next morning, they arrested 31-year-old Jaques “Chuck Goonie” Giles, he said.

Arresting Batchellor were Detectives Brian Weitzman, Rashedul Chowdury, Atli Sela and John Tolerico, the sheriff said.

Detectives Luis Pagan, Mike Pascale and Joel Familia arrested Giles, who had an outstanding drug distribution warrant, he said.

The detectives turned Batchellor over to Garfield police and sent Giles to the Passaic County Jail on the warrant.
