Nicholas D’Angelo, 41, was arrested after a court-warranted search of his home Tuesday turned up “various types of anabolic steroids and syringes,” Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

D’Angelo was released on his own recognizance pending an 8:30 a.m. initial appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, the prosecutor said.

He is charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs – and doing so within 1,000 feet of the Robert L. Craig Middle School on West Park Street, Grewal said.

Moonachie police joined his detectives in the investigation, and they and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office participated in the raid, he said.
