The group's mission is a specialized, active shooter team that will work in coordination with patrol officers and the department's emergency service unit during an active shooter incident, authorities said.
"Our department continues to evolve in these uncertain times and strives to be prepared to be able to provide our residents with the best services possible," police said on social media.
