GARFIELD, N.J. -- Garfield police got help from their South Hackensack colleagues in collaring a Paterson man wanted in connection with a pair of local burglaries.
Detectives Michael Latona and Thomas LaMantia tracked Aneury Fernandez-Pena, 26, to the Congress Inn motel on Route 46 and took him into custody yesterday morning, Capt. Darren Sucorowski said.
He was ordered held on $60,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with burglary and theft in a pair of break-ins -- one on Prospect Street on Sept. 9 and the other on Outwater Lane on Sept. 16.
