GARFIELD, N.J. -- A pair of Garfield detectives investigating a series of car burglaries identified and arrested a 46-year-old Passaic man for the crimes, authorities said Monday.
Detectives Sean Delahanty and Marc Amos tracked down Erick F. Garcia after he used a credit card stolen from a wallet in a local store, Lt. Richard Uram said.
Wallington police assisted in the arrest, he said.
Garcia was being held on $45,000 bail in the Beren County Jail, charged with three separate counts of burglary and theft.
Victims contacted police after cash, wallets and sunglasses were taken from a trio of unlocked cars, Uram said.
