LODI, N.J. -- William C. Miller, of Lodi, died Tuesday, Nov. 8. He was 72.
He was born in Mineola, N.Y. and raised in West New York. He resided in Lodi for 40 years before moving to Maryland.
He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of V.F.W. Pavlick-Koster Post 2640 of Wallington. Mr.
Miller earned a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a member of the Hasbrouck Heights Jaycees, the National Association of Appraisers and the National Association of Fee Appraisers. He was a former member of Holy Name R.C. Church in Garfield and was a bugle player in the Holy Name Cadets. Prior to retiring in 2011, he was a commercial real estate agent and operated Miller Levine Associates in Hackensack.
He is survived by his siblings, Marilyn Shipley and husband, Thomas, Patricia Hold and Richard R. Miller and wife Sharon.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
