GARFIELD, N.J. -- Richard Cimiluca, 61, of Garfield and formerly of Saddle Brook, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016.
Cimiluca worked for Versa Products as a machinist. He was a very active member of the Paramus Elks, Lodge #2001 and a former exalted ruler. Some of his notable achievements with the Elks were being exalted ruler in 2001-02 and 2004-05, Elk of the year in 2007-08, lodge esquire for four years, leading knight in 2000-01, loyal knight in 2003-04, secretary past exalted ruler association in 2002-03 and 2005-06, president past exalted ruler association in 2006-07, Northeast District chairman of the special children committee in 2006-07, Miracle Run committee since 2005, Hoop Shoot - Soccer Shoot chairman from 2004-06 and Better Parades committee member since 1996.
He was the husband of 24 years to Kathleen Cimiluca (nee McSweeney); father of Linda Cimiluca and Kimberly Ciummo and her husband Vinny; and brother of Paul Cimiluca and his wife Cathy, Carl Cimiluca and his wife Isabel and David Cimiluca.
He was predeceased by his sister, Janice Zangrando.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, 445 Fifth Ave., River Edge. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
