Mary M. Inserra, 80, Garfield Resident

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Mary M. (Treanor) Inserra, of Garfield, died on Saturday, May 28. She was 80.

Inserra was born in and lived in New York City for 36 years, before relocating to Lodi for 16 years, then to Garfield for the past 28 years. She worked for the Bergen County Tax Board in Hackensack for 30 years, and she was a former member of the Lodi Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her daughters, Marie and her husband Richard DelFavero, Ellen and her husband Daniel Tummillo, and Laura and her husband Harry Mezza; brothers Daniel and John Treanor; and grandchildren Caitlin DelFavero, Alyssa Malachowski, Richard DelFavero, Francis Tummillo, Alexandra Mezza, Matthew DelFavero, Gianna Mezza and Mia Tummillo.

Inserra was predeceased by her husband, Frank, and her siblings, James Treanor and Helen Barry.

Visiting hours are from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., in Garfield. The funeral will be on Thursday, arriving at the funeral home at 10 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Garfield. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Saddle Brook.
