Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Gisel came to the United States in 1985, living in New York, N.Y., Toms River, Hackensack and finally settling in Lodi.
While working she was an assistant living aid in the Health Care Industry. Gisel was a member of the New York City Church of Christ in Clifton.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Frias; her parents, Victor and Dulce Madera; siblings Victora and Brenda.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
