Lodi Lawyer And Former Teacher Frederick M. DiMaria Dies At 79

LODI, N.J. -- Frederick M. DiMaria, of Lodi, died on Tuesday, Jan. 3. He was 79.

Born in Passaic, DiMaria was an elementary school teacher at Lincoln School in Lodi, before switching career paths. He went on to become an attorney at DiMaria & DiMaria Attorneys-At-Law, in Lodi. He was a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, and a member and officer of the New Jersey SPCA.

He enjoyed playing piano and singing, and he was an avid bodybuilder.

DiMaria is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (Pasquin) DiMaria; children Frederick DiMaria Jr. and his wife Karen, Nicole DiMaria-Picciallo and her husband Daniel, and Georgine DiMaria; siblings Doris Colucci and Michelle Dopson; and grandson Lucas Picciallo.

He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Providence DiMaria, and his siblings Martin DiMaria Jr. and Anthony DiMaria.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights.
