Lillian Brunetti, 60, Former Garfield Resident

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Lillian Brunetti, of Hawthorne, died on Thursday, Jan. 12. She was 60.

Born in Passaic, Brunetti lived in Garfield for 33 years before settling in Hawthorne 27 years ago. She was a librarian for 36 years, working with the Englewood Public Library for 12 years, the Franklin Lakes Public Library for 13 years and the Mary Help of Christians Academy in North Haledon for the past 11 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Garfield and St. Anthony's Church in Hawthorne, and she was a member of the American Library Association. 

Brunetti is survived by her husband, Wally, and her sister, Elaine Leak and her husband Donald. She was predeceased by her parents, Valentine and Stella Magda, and her brother, Richard Magda. 

The funeral was on Monday morning, Jan. 16, from the Aloia Funeral Home, in Garfield, with a mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery, in South Hackensack.
