LODI, N.J. -- Judith "Judy" McNeill, of Lodi, died on Tuesday, March 29. She was 68.
Born in Niagara Falls, McNeill was an administrative assistant for the Bergen County Community Action Program in Hackensack. She previously worked for N.Y. Bell and as a waitress for the Wallington Exchange.
Her favorite day was Halloween, she loved dressing up, followed by Christmas, with her candycane shirt and her candycane sneakers. She loved bingo, video poker, Atlantic City, Empire City and her beloved pulltabs.
McNeill is survived by her longtime companion and soulmate, George Costello; children Dawn Gallo, Susan Vernacchia, Joseph and Michael McNeill, and Jennifer Schottler; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters.
She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond Cooper and Betty Letteri.
Visiting hours will be from 2-5 p.m. on Friday, April 1, at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, in Hackensack.
