LODI, N.J. — The Lodi father of a Detroit Lions linebacker was killed in a pedestrian crash Thursday, NorthJersey.com reports.

Etienne Longa, 55, was the father of Steve Longa, who played football in Saddle Brook and later at Rutgers, the article says.

Longa died in Pennsylvania after attempting to cross the street, according to NorthJersey.com.
