GARFIELD, N.J. – Ernest Parisi, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died Thursday, March 3. He was 89.
Parisi served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a receiving clerk for over 10 years for the Great Eastern Textiles in Mahwah, before retiring. He was also a parishioner of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield.
He is survived by his brother, James Parisi and his wife, Frieda; and his uncle, James Parisi Jr.
He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Rose Parisi; and his nephew, Angelo Parisi.
The funeral was scheduled Monday, March 7, at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield. Interment was in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
