LODI, N.J. -- Carol Soldano, a longtime resident of Lodi, died on Saturday, Dec. 31. She was 76.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Soldano lived in Paterson and Garfield before settling in Lodi 45 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, in Lodi.
She was a bus aide for the past 10 years with Town and Country Bus Co. in Wayne, and previously she was a lab assistant for 20 years at Pearl Optical Laboratory in Saddle Brook.
Soldano is survived by her children, Rosalia DiCrescienzo and husband Giovanni, and Lisa Soldano and her boyfriend Oscar Sabillon, and her grandchildren, Jessica, Derek and Devon. She was predeceased by her husband, Ciro; parents Robert and Isabella Koppenal; and siblings Robert Koppenal, Sally Seiller and Joan Lamberti.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., in Garfield. The funeral will arrive at 8:30 a.m.on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, in Garfield. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Saddle Brook.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Ramapo Animal Refuge.
