GARFIELD, N.J. -- Anna LoPinto, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died Thursday, March 31. She was 88.
She was born Oct. 17, 1927.
She was employed by Pathmark in Garfield for 17 years, and was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Sorrows Church in Garfield, where she volunteered for bingo and was a member of the Rosary Society.
She is survived by her children Joanne Stelly and husband Nino, Sharon Lanza and husband Bob and Gary LoPinto; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters Catherine Fede and May Mazzola.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles; a brother, Anthony Lanza; and two sisters, Johanna Veltri and Jean Lewis.
Visiting will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at Aloia Funeral Home. A Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial donations for the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
The LoPinto Family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield.
