LODI, N.J. — A teenager killed a 2-month old snake moments after purchasing it from a Lodi pet shop, store officials told Daily Voice.

A teen purchased an albino corn snake, identical to this one, before killing it in the Lodi parking lot of NJ Exotic Pets, store officials told Daily Voice.

NJ Exotic Pets employees saw the teen arguing with his father in the parking lot moments after purchasing the albino corn snake.

The teen, who employees said has purchased several reptiles from the shop, was arguing in another language with his father, before he threw the snake on the ground and stomped on its head, killing it, employees told Daily Voice.

Based on the argument, it appeared to store officials that the teen's father didn't want him to have a snake, store officials said.

"If he wasn't allowed to have a snake, he could've returned it and gotten store credit," an NJ Exotic Pets employee said.
