Garfield YMCA Offering Free Swimming Lessons For Grade-School Children

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Garfield YMCA will host a free beginner’s swim class from Monday, Dec. 21 to Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.

The lessons are open to children in grades K through 3 who live in Garfield, Lodi, Elmwood Park, Saddle Brook and Wallington.

PSE&G is sponsoring the classes.

Registration can be completed at the Y, 33 Outwater Lane. Parents should bring proof of age and residency.

All participants will need swim caps. For more information, call aquatics director Kimberly Jones at 973-772-7450.
