GARFIELD, N.J. -- A firefighting couple will not be suspended for violating social media regulations after displaying their turnout coats on their wedding invitations, according to NorthJersey.com.
The threat of suspension came from a lack of clear understanding about what the city deems acceptable on social media. Fire fighters are not allowed to post anything negative, demeaning, degrading online, NorthJersey.com reported.
Volunteer members Paul Mellor, 27, and Danielle Szep, 26 posted the invitation with their turnout coats with their names on it, NorthJersey.com said.
