Anthony V. Pugliese, 68, and the company he created, Safe and Secure Self Storage LLC., was renting the storage facility located on Lanza Ave. When the mortgage went into foreclosure in 2004, a court-appointed receiver then filed suit against Safe and Secure Self Storage, saying it owed $9.5 million in back rent that would have gone to pay the $15 million owed for the mortgage, NorthJersey.com reported.

Terms of the settlement were not released, NorthJersey.com said.
