The members of the non-profit organization said they were blindsided when Garfield Council voted to replace current ACO Lysa DeLaurentis with New Jersey Animal Control and Rescue, the article says.

The company began its 13-month contract on Dec. 1, and will automatically renew Jan. 1, 2018, NorthJersey.com says.
