PATERSON, N.J. — Following a weekend DUI arrest, NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman has checked into a rehabilitation center in Paterson, the Associated Press reports.

Rodman checked into Turning Point Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday to deal with his longtime struggle with alcoholism, the athlete's agent told the AP.

Rodman -- born in Trenton -- was arrested in Southern California late Saturday on suspicion of DUI after being pulled over for a traffic violation, according to the AP. The athlete failed field sobriety and breath tests, the article says citing the Newport Beach police.

Rodman spent three weeks at the same Paterson facility in 2014, following a trip to North Korea where he organized a basketball game for retired NBA players, the AP reports.
