LODI, N.J. -- The Borough of Lodi has partnered with Nextdoor, a free, private social network designed to allow the borough to provide vital service alerts and increase community engagement.
In addition to allowing the borough's administration to communicate news and events, it also allows residents to communicate with each other about issues that matter to them. Residents can share recommendations about local services such as babysitters, plumbers, doctors and restaurants, as well as connect with parents, pet owners and other neighborhood groups.
But fundamentally, the network allows residents can get to know each other, which helps promote neighborhood camaraderie and prevents crime.
The Nextdoor website is password-protected and members must verify that they live in the Borough before they can join. You can join in here.
