LODI, N.J. — Police officers and civilians alike spent their Tuesday evening Memorial Park for Lodi's National Night Out.

The event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Lodi locals met representatives from the Lodi's police and fire departments, and several community-based organizations.

Children explored the fire trucks, police cars and ambulances. The night culminated with a showing of "Zootopia."
