Free Science Programs For Girls Coming To Garfield Library

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Girls Science Interactive program is bringing five days of free science programs for girls going into fourth through sixth grade, at the Garfield Public Library, on Monday-Friday, Aug. 22-26.

Each day's program is from 10 a.m. to noon, and kids are welcome to attend one or all of them. Each day there will be a different science program: students will be taught a specific topic and then conduct hands-on experiments.

Sample topics include solar system, engineering, global warming and solar radiation, career explorations, electricity, and chemistry. Students will have adult supervision at all times.
