GARFIELD, N.J. — The 3rd Annual Riders For Rare Diseases Bike Run will set off from Applebee's in Garfield and end at Bergen Community College in Paramus on Sunday, Oct. 4.

The cost is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger.

Beginning with an 8:30 a.m. breakfast, the ride will benefit the Let Them Be Little X2 Foundation, which helps youngsters battling rare diseases.

Let Them Be Little X2 was founded by Jeff and Deena Leider, whose sons, Jason and younger brother Justin were born with a rare genetic disorder.

Riders head out at 11 a.m., escorted by police, and cross the finish line by 12:30 p.m.

A $20 all-you-can-eat BBQ (children under 10 free) will be held at the college once they arrive. It will feature live music, vendors and children's entertainment.
