GARFIELD, N.J. — A 50-year-old music company recently closed its Garfield headquarters to prepare for its move to New York City.
Latin Percussion housed its offices on Belmont Avenue before the move.
"While USA production of many LP products ... will remain in New Jersey, the executive offices are being moved from Garfield to our new LP showroom located in Times Square," spokeswoman Elizabeth Lang said.
Latin Percussion was first founded in New York City, making it a "coming home" for the company, Lang said. Anticipated to open in mid-February, the new LP showroom is in the historic music district on 48th Street, she said.
Founded in 1964, Latin Percussion is the largest hand-percussion instrument brand in the world. For more information, visit www.lpmusic.com.
